The Most Important GI Joe Collection in the World

Paperwork and Historic Documents

This page is dedicated to the paperwork and historic documentation included in the Don Levine GI Joe Collection Auction. This paperwork includes photographs, Inter-Office memos, Correspondance, Original engineering drawings, legal documents and more. It represents a great deal of history of GI Joe. Much can be learned about the birth and development of America's Favorite man of Action by studying the contents of two 1 inch thick notebooks full of priceless artifacts! The photos and scans are too many to display on one page. Even the fastest of computers would have a hard time loading that number of images! Instead, we have listed what each document is and its number of pages and included links to each image. Simply click on the image you would like to see. We have kept the documents in the order they were found in these notebooks. The notebooks were kept at the time to track the progress of the process of creating GI Joe. A great deal of these papers pertain to production for the year 1967, although some are earlier. We have tried to include at least a digital photo of all of them, but with preparation time for this auction being limited, we were not able to scan them all.
